EFTA Court Ruling on the Icesave Issue on January 28, 2013
An action against Iceland was brought before the EFTA Court on December 15, 2011 by the EFTA Surveillance Authority and the court will present its ruling on Monday, January 28. For more information about the action click here Icesave; and the verdict will be published on the EFTA Court’s website.
Phone Conference with Mr. Lee C. Buchheit on January 28th, 11:30 a.m. to 12 (noon) EST (16:30-17:00 in Iceland).
The Icelandic American Chamber of Commerce has organized a phone conference to discuss the court’s ruling with Mr. Lee C. Buchheit of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York. Mr. Buchheit was retained early 2010 to 2011 by the Iceland Ministry of Finance to serve as a negotiator of the Icesave issue with the Governments of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. He will discuss the EFTA Court verdict in regards to the Icesave case and answer a few questions from IACC members.
