KATE at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

KATE is a new play written by Agnes Þorkelsdóttir Wild, which will be shown at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 30 July - 25 August.

Iceland. 1940. The British are coming. With the number of British troops in Reykjavík outnumbering the number of men in all of Iceland, the Icelandic women have certainly something to focus on. KATE focuses on the experience of one family, with their wayward daughter Selma and helpful lodger Kate, and how the women choose different paths to survive. A lively reflection on the shared and lost history between Iceland and England accompanied by live music and gale force winds.
