Salka Guðmundsdóttir at the Edinburgh Fringe

A powerful new play by Icelandic writer Salka Guðmundsdóttir, Breaker, will run at the Underbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe from 1-25 August.

Caught up in nostalgia and myths, Daniel comes to the remote island where his grandmother grew up, seeking answers and closure but finds local teacher Sunna battling her own darkness following a horrific series of events in the community.

Breaker is translated and directed by Scottish director Graeme Maley and is the winner of the Underbelly Edinburgh and Best Theatre Awards at the Adelaide Festival 2013.
