Iceland Airwaves is one of the world’s premier international music showcases. It has hosted artists such as Florence and the Machine, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Flaming Lips, Fatboy Slim, Vampire Weekend, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party.

Now Airwaves is coming to London for a special warm-up gig, showcasing some of the artists that will perform at this year’s festival. Headlining the event will be Alex Metric, who will perform full live band. Previously he has sold out gigs at Hoxton Square Bar,and Kitchen, has packed tents at Glastonbury and Global Gathering and worked with artists such as Ladyhawke, Phoenix, La Roux, Fenech Soler and Gorillaz just to name a few. His live performance is absolutely incendiary and not to be missed.

Support will be provided by one of the hottest and most cutting-edge bands of the moment , Factory Floor, which the NME bestowed a rare 9/10 review for their recent mini album. Their live performances supporting Fuck Buttons, Liars and others have become the stuff of legend for their intense, visceral performances.

Also on the bill are Icelandic legends Retro Stefson and Snorri Helgason, who have pack out every show in their home country and are already creating stir internationally. To keep the party going Jerry Bouthier (J-Bag, Kitsune, Ponystep) will be providing an excuse keep everyone on their feet and dance the Hoxton night away.

Oh, Yes! While we remember, we will be giving away 2 tickets to Iceland Airwaves (flights, hotels and admission to the festival included, terms and conditions apply) Available to those who attend the actual event! Courtesy of Icelandair, Plaza Hotel Reykjavik and Iceland Airwaves

This party will most definitely cause eruptions!
