Gunnar Nelson fights in Nottingham on 29 September

Iceland's most successful mixed martial arts and Brazilian ju jitsu fighter Gunnar Nelson has signed up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization (UFC) and will face German fighter Pascal 'Panzer' Krauss in Nottingham on 29 September.

Icelandic Nelson fans will be gathering for the event en masse and have already bought over a hundred airplane tickets from airliner Iceland Express. Jón Viðar Arnþórsson from Nelson's team says "it's great that so many people want to travel to support Gunnar." Travel manager from the airline Klara Íris Vigfúsdóttir reported that: "We are trying to set up the third travel package but we just need more seats!"

In preparation for the fight, Nelson is currently training in New York under experienced coach Renzo Gracie. Nelson is fortunate to have training partners in the likes of current UFC welterweight champion George St. Pierre.

The UFC is considered the most prestigious organization of its kind, comprising athletes of the highest caliber in the sport.
