Concert celebrating Benjamin Britten and Páll Ísólfsson

Icelandic soprano Gréta Hergils and the Iceland Choir of London will celebrate the centenary of English composer Benjamin Britten at a concert on 29 November 2013.



Together they will perform various works by Britten, including  On This Island, song cycle for voice and piano, Op. 11,  and his arrangement on the poem The Last Rose of Summer by Iris poet Thomas Moore. They will also perform traditional songs by Icelandic composer Páll Ísólfsson, Britten's contemporary.
