Iceland Dance Company: Sacrifice at Southbank Centre
The Iceland Dance Company will take over Royal Festival Hall from 18-20 August with Sacrifice; a spectacle of dance, art and film created in collaboration between the Iceland Dance Company artistic director Erna Ómarsdóttir, composer Valdimar Jóhannsson, visual artists Ragnar Kjartansson, Matthew Barney and Gabríela Friðriksdóttir, and choreographer Margrét Bjarnadóttir.
Part dance, part ballet, part rock concert, part film - Sacrifice includes four theatrical creations and spills from the stage into an immersive 'market' environment in the foyer spaces of Royal Festival Hall.
