Travelers to Iceland

Travelers to Iceland should check what kind of travel documents they need and whether they need to a Schengen visa prior to arrival. In principle, a valid passport is required, but certain identity cards are accepted. Even though there is no passport control for travelers arriving from Schengen or Nordic countries, including the Faroe Islands and Greenland, the airlines will require some form of identification.
