Universal Periodic Review - 21st session

The twentieth session of the Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group took place in Geneva from 19-30 January 2015. The UPR mechanism is a state driven process which involves a review of human rights records of all UN Member States.


During this session 14 States had their human rights records examined: Kyrgyzstan, Kiribati, Guinea, Laos, Spain, Lesotho, Kenya, Armenia, Guinea-Bissau, Sweden, Grenada, Turkey, Guyana and Kuwait. 

Iceland delivered oral statements and recommendations to Sweden, Turkey and Kuwait.
