Universal Periodic Review - 20th session

The twentieth session of the Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group took place in Geneva from 27 October to 7 November 2014. The UPR mechanism is a unique, states driven process which involves a review of human rights records of all UN Member States.

During this session 14 States had their human rights records examined:  Italy, El Salvador, Gambia, Bolivia, Fiji, San Marino, Kazakstan, Angola, Iran, Madagaskar, Iraq, Slovenia, Egypt and Bosnia Herzegovina.

Iceland delivered oral statements and recommendations during interactive dialogues with  El Salvador, Iran, Egypt og Bosnia Herzegovina.
