The stall plate of Iceland’s President hung up on the wall in Frederiksborg Castle.

Last Friday, Ambassador Sturla Sigurjónsson, represented the President of Iceland, H.E. Mr. Ólafur R. Grímsson, at a formal ceremony in the church of Frederiksborg Castle. At the ceremony, the President’s stall plate with his code of arms as well as his “symbolum” was hung up in the Chapel of the Order of the Elephant (Elefantordenen), among stall plates received by other knights of the order.

All former presidents of Iceland have been honored with the order. Below is a photo of Sturla Sigurjónsson, receiving the President’s stall plate.
