Nordic Affect - Concert

Icelandic ensemble Nordic Affect has been hailed for its “affectionate explorations” (BBC Music Magazine) and “commitment to their repertoire” (Classical Music). Founded in 2005, Nordic Affect has created a highly unique voice, which has earned the group international recognition.

For their special appearance in Koncertkirken in Copenhagen the prize winning ensemble brings an exciting program, which evolves around ecology.

Among the lineup is music by renowned composers on the international scene, namely Helena Tulve (EE) and Mirjam Tally (SE/EE).

Also on the roaster are works by some of the exciting names to emerge out of the Icelandic scene, such as Hildur Guðnadóttir and María Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir (of amiina). The evening features also a premiere of a new traverso work by Guðmundur Steinn Guðmundsson and to top it all of Nordic Affect will perform Úlfur Hansson’s 'Þýð' which invites audience participation, so there’s something special in store when Nordic Affect comes to town!
