The Sagas of the Icelanders to be published again in China

The Chinese Publishing House Commercial Press has decided to reprint the Chinese language version of the Sagas of the Icelanders. The work was first published in 2000 and Chief Editor at the time was Ms Bao Jingjing. The Chief Translator was Ms Shi Qine who since then has contributed to the translations of many of the Canons of Nordic Literature. At a recent meeting with Ambassador Kristin A. Arnadottir, two representatives of the Commercial Press, Mr Wang Weidong and Bao Jingjing presented plans for the second print, which will be printed in a two or three volume anthology version in a total of 5000 copies or the same amount as when the Sagas were first published thirteen years ago in a two volume version. The first print is sold out in China.
