The Embassy of Iceland in Beijing will begin issuing Shengen Visa

The Government of Iceland decided on 27 March, to begin issuing Schengen Visas at the Embassy in Beijing. This was decided on a basis of a joint proposal of the Ministry of Justice and Ecclesiastical Affairs and the Foreign Ministry who have been preparing this undertaking for some time. Mr. Johann Johannsson, an expert from the Ministry of Justice, with years of experience as an officer at the Icelandic Immigration Authorities, will soon head for Beijing to oversee this new function of the Embassy.
