Corporate Social Responsibility Fund of Audur Capital gives grant to prevent women suicides in Qinglong, Hebei Province


Women’s Wealth at Work, a CSR fund of the Icelandic investment services provider Audur Capital, has awarded a grant to Basic Needs, a global charity organisation, to work towards preventing female suicides among women in Qinglong County, Hebei Province. Ms Erla Karen Magnúsdóttir is the China Representative of Basic Needs.

Basic Needs works to transform the lives of people living with mental illness and epilepsy in the world’s poorest communities. Basic Needs is working with a sister organisation in China, the Cultural Development Center for Rural Women. One of thei many projects focuses on suicide prevention among rural women in Qinglong County in Hebei Province.
