Ambassador Gudnason visits North Korea together with Thor Asgeirsson, Deputy Program Director of the UNU Fisheries Training Program in Iceland
From March 29 to April 2 Ambassador Gudnason visited North Korea together with Thor Asgeirsson Deputy Program Director of the United Nation University (UNU) Fisheries Training Programme. The purpose of the visit was to meet with Korean officials amongst others and to choose students to participate in the UNU Fisheries Training Program which is situated in Iceland. On their trip they visited the Marine University in Woson where they interviewed students interested in this program.
On their trip they also looked into the possibility of participation from North Korea in the UNU Geothermal Research Program in Iceland.
