Nordic languages - Day of Languages 22 September 2006

The Scandinavian Language School opens its doors on Friday September 22 2006 from 15:00-21:00 on the occasion of the European Day of Languages.

Visit us and learn more about the Nordic languages! The Scandinavian Language School invites everybody to come to our open house on the occasion of the Day of Languages 2006. There will be representatives of the Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic languages.

The event offers a range of exciting features such as story telling by Søren Bramsted from Denmark and Heli Aaltonen from Finland and readings in all the Nordic languages. Furthermore, the opening of two art exhibitions with Danish artists Daniel Milan and Sissan Richardt will take place, and the Scandinavian Language School will offer trial lessons as well as level tests for everyone who is interested. It will also be possible to subscribe to the courses as well as to buy the books for this year’s lessons.

The Day of Languages has become an annually recurring tradition that has successfully taken place the last four years. The event offers the possibility for all interested to be introduced to the teachers and the premises of the Scandinavian Language School as well as to experience exciting features.

The Scandinavian Language School started in October 2003 and is the outcome of a successful cooperation between the Danish Cultural Institute Benelux, The Royal Norwegian Embassy, The Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Institute in Sweden. The classes are held at the premises of the Danish Cultural Institute. The school offers a broad range of courses in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish and on different levels both in groups and individually. As something new, we can now offer classes in Icelandic. Furthermore, the school offers courses to companies. The classes start in September/October. For further information, please see
