The renowned chamber choir Schola cantorum, Hallgrímskirkja, sings Icelandic and nordic a capella music in the beautiful church Hallgrímskirkja. Lunchtime concert.
The chamber choir Schola Cantorum Reykjavicensis was founded 1996 by the conductor, Hörður Áskelsson, cantor at Hallgrímskirkja. Schola Cantorum has given concerts in Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain and in France where the choir won top prize in the Picardy International Choir Competition 1998.
