Poet in the City: Viking Sagas at the British Museum

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Join in for an evening of live poetry and discussion hosted by charity Poet in the City at the British Museum on Friday 30 May 2014 at 7pm!

A panel of leading experts in medieval Icelandic literature and history will discuss the Icelandic sagas. The award-winning Icelandic poet and author, Gerdur Kristný, will join them and read from her book Bloodhoof (is. Blóðhófnir), her fourth book of poetry for which she received the Icelandic Literary Award in 2011. Also joining the panel is Gareth Williams, curator for the exhibition "Vikings: life and legend" at the British Museum.
