This fast-paced and dynamic adaptation of Macbeth by William Shakespeare is heavily influenced by Norse mythology. The Icelandic director and creative team portray the brutality of the Vikings, the powers of persuasion of the Valkyries, mystic forests and volcanic eruptions, whilst leaving the audience sympathetic towards Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.

A photography exhibition by the award-winning photographer Ragnar Th. Sigurdsson, will run simultaneously at the theatre's front of house. Ragnar, who specialises in photos of the arctic, will include in his exhibition photos of volcanoes, aurora borealis, waterfalls, glaciers, wildlife and daily life in Iceland.
