Icelandic play in Edinburgh

Cellophane, a hit comedy show from Iceland by Björk Jakobsdóttir, is an honest and hilarious look at what it means to be a modern woman, this is the female version of ‘Defending the Caveman’ and will guarantee to leave you laughing from start to finish.

Cellophane will run daily at the Festival between 7th-15th August at The Pleasance Courtyard: Beneath at 12:40pm.

A short introduction to the play:

Helen is a modern woman trying desperately to fulfil the feminist ideal! Juggling a career, a husband, two children, and sustaining a volcanic sexual appetite is no easy task...in fact it is MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

Taking place over the space of a single day Helen has a schedule so tight that even starting the day fifteen minutes late has disastrous consequences, from problems at home, the nursery, the office, and her mother. Let’s not even mention the fateful seduction...a seduction which involves Cellophane.
