Iceland Writers Retreat 9-13 April 2014

The first Iceland Writers Retreat will be held in Reykjavik from 9-13 April 2014. Published and unpublished writers from around the world are invited to participate in a series of workshops and panels led by established authors from various countries. 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The theme for this event are books focused on the subject of travel and journeys. Between the workshops, panel discussions and readings, delegates will be given a chance to tour Iceland's Golden Circle, meet Icelandic contemporary writers and explore Reykjavik, the fifth UNESCO City of Literature.

The workshops will be led by Pulitzer Prize winning author Geraldine Brooks, New Yorker staff writer Susan Orlean, Ryerson University professor and author Randy Boyagoda, award-winning memoirist Ian Read, National Geographic Digital Nomad Andrew Evans, Scotiabank Giller Prize winner Joseph Boyden, and James Scudamore, Man Booker prize nominee and others.
