Icelandic Jakobinarina (www.myspace.com/jakobinarina), are a true festival band. At the mere age of 15 they played the festival last year. Having several UK journalists and David Fricke, editor of the Rolling Stone in the audience the story travelled fast and the band are been signed to UK label, Rough Trade, as a result.
Tilly and the Wall (www.tillyandthewall.com) perform at the Moshi Moshi night in Reykjavík. The festival friends from the MM team keep discovering and supporting some of the most exciting and innovative music there is. The 5-piece promises to do what it takes to “get through to you” and somehow we believe them after seeing their step-dancing skills.
Indie genius Swedes in the form of Love is All (www.love-is-all.com) headline the Taste of Iceland Airwaves night in London. Creating internet-frenzy around themselves they seem to be everywhere and of course they will be at Iceland Airwaves.
