Iceland in Form and Texture - Photographic exhibition by Hafdis Bennett
Ambassador Benedikt Jónsson and Hafdis Bennett at the Embassy's opening next to the
work "Wall of basalt columns (end), Hljodaklettar, NE Iceland".
The photographic exhibition Iceland in Form and Texture by Icelandic sculptor and artist Hafdis Bennett recently opened at the Embassy.
Being a sculptor, Hafdís has special interest in the forms and texture found in her native country Iceland, where the volcanic origins are everywhere to be seen. She is a born and bred Icelander and despite having lived abroad for most of her adult life, she has kept close ties with her country. Her extensive travels through the uninhabited centre of the highlands is very much in evidence in this exhibition.
The exhibition will run throughout summer
Open Mon - Fri 9am-4.30pm
