An afternoon with author and scholar Dr Bergsveinn Birgisson

The Medieval Scandinavian Seminar and the Icelandic Programme at the UCL Scandinavian Department will hold a book launch with Icelandic author and scholar Dr Bergsveinn Birgisson on Thursday 2nd May at 5:30 pm.

Dr Birgisson holds a doctorate in Old Norse Studies from the University of Bergen. In addition to scholarly work, he has published two books of poetry, Íslendingurinn (The Icelander), 1992, and Innrás Liljanna (Invasion of the Lilies) in 1997, and three novels, Landslag er aldrei asnalegt (Landscape is Never Corny), 2003, Handbók um hugarfar kúa (A Manual on the Mentality of Cows), 2010, and Svar við bréfi Helgu (Reply to a Letter from Helga) in 2011.
