Icelandic Quality Food Presented at Russian Food Expo
This past week, some leading Icelandic meat and fish exporting companies took part in the largest annual specialized food trade show in Russia and Eastern Europe. ProdExpo was opened in Moscow last Monday, where a large number of Russian and foreign companies presented quality produce to the local Russian market.
Icelandic companies participated in this exhibition for the second year in a row, being actively supported by the Embassy of Iceland in Moscow. This year National Icelandic stand was represented by lamb producing companies such as SS and SK and a fish trading company Iceland Prima.
During the week, Icelandic Chef Friðrik Sigurðsson held a Masterclass course for 64 top restaurant chefs in Moscow, demonstrating the uniqueness of the Icelandic lamb and the excellence of northern seas fish and seafood products offered by Icelandic fish producers.
Tuesday 14th February the Icelandic Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Albert Jónsson, hosted a reception in the Embassy where guests tasted some of the best in Icelandic cuisine.
