Kæru gestir,

Takk fyrir að kíkja við á heimasíðu aðalræðisskrifstofu Íslands í Þórshöfn í Færeyjum. Mér er mikil ánægja að vera kominn hingað til starfa í júní 2016 og mun gera mitt besta til að efla vináttubönd milli nágranna- og frændþjóða okkar, Íslands og Færeyja. Tengslin ná langt aftur í aldir og eiga þjóðirnar náið samstarf bæði tvíhliða og í vest-norrænu samhengi. Hlutverk aðalræðisskrifstofunnar er fyrst og fremst að vinna að nánum stjórnmálasamskiptum, öflugum viðskiptum og fjölbreyttu menningarsamstarfi. Mig hlakkar mikið til að kynnast betur færeyskri menningu og er þakklátur fyrir gestrisni og hlýjar mótökur sem við hjónin höfum hlotið hingað til.
