Samningaviðræður um þjónustuviðskipti

Ísland tekur þátt í samningaviðræðum um þjónustuviðskipti sem fram fara meðal 50 aðildarríkja WTO. Þátttökuríkin sendu frá sér fréttatilkynningu í dag þar sem þau lýstu ánægju sinni með þannn árangur sem náðst hefði í samningaviðræðunum. Viðræðurnar væru formlega hafnar og hvöttu þau önnur aðilarríki WTO til að taka þátt.

 

Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA) have entered full negotiating mode

WTO Members exploring new approaches aimed at advancing the liberalization of trade in services* are pleased with the progress in discussions on a Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA).

By completing the necessary consultations and procedures prior to negotiations, we have now entered full negotiating mode.

We continue to encourage other WTO Members who share our objectives for the liberalization of trade in services to take part in this effort.

*Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the European Union, Hong Kong China, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, The Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu, Turkey, United States of America.
