Presentation of Credentials in Bulgaria

Ambassador Sturla Sigurjónsson presented his credentials to Georgi Parvanov, the President of Bulgaria, in the Bulgarian Presidency in Sofia on 30 April 2010. Prior to that, Ambassador Sigurjónsson had a meeting with Mr. Marin Raykov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Bulgaria. At these meetings, the bilateral relations between Iceland and Bulgaria were discussed and the application by Iceland for membership in the European Union.
