National Chess game in Iceland


The national chess teams of Iceland and China met in Iceland for a competition involving players from youth, women and men categories.  The competition was held as a part of the 60 year Anniversary Celebration of the Icelandic Chinese Culture Society and was co-organized by the Icelandic Chess Association. The Chinese team won the competition with a total of 47.5 wins while the Icelandic team had 24.5 wins. The best individual performance was by Yu Yangyi who won 11,5 out of 12 chess games he played.
