Icelandic MBA students visit China

Icelandic MBA students, from the University of Iceland, are visiting China this week. Lead by professors Ingjaldur Hannibalsson and Runólfur Smári Steinþórsson, the group will visit companies in four cities, Beijing, Baoding, Ningbo and Shanghai.

Among the companies that invited the students are IKEA, Beijing International Hotel, Tianwei Yingli New Energy Company, Baoding Great Wall Automobile Company, Lenovo and Huawei R&D Center.

While visiting Baoding, six representatives of the MBA group and H.E. Ambassador Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson, met with officials from Baoding Municipal Government and Foreign Affairs Office in Baoding. Baoding is the sister-city of Hafnarfjörður in Iceland.

In Shanghai the students will pay a visit to Icelandic companies that have established themselves there. Among those are CCP, Ossur Asia and Glitnir Bank.

This is the second year that the Embassy and the University of Iceland MBA Program collaborate on organizing visits for graduating MBA students.
