Icelandic Economy in 2011 and Iceland-China Trade
According to Icelandic Statistics Bureau, Icelandic economy registered a 3.1% growth in 2011, with GDP per capita (PPP) standing at USD 36,820 and a trade surplus of ISK 96,900 million for the third consecutive year since the financial crisis in late 2008.
The bilateral trade between Iceland and China saw a significant increase in 2011 as compared to 2010. Icelandic exports to China amounts to ISK 5,431 million (59% increase from 2010) and imports ISK 35,119 million (up by 22%).
