Author at Beijing Book Fair and on QQ Kids
The popular Chinese web-media, QQ Kids, has published an interview with the Icelandic children book author and illustrator Áslaug Jónsdóttir, who was in China recently to participate in a Nordic workshop at the Beijing International Book Fair, August 29 - September 2. The worksshop was jointly organised by Dansish Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Embassies of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. Six books from her Monster series were published in China during her visit.
The Monster books series is co-authored with Kalle Güettler from Sweden and Rakel Helmsdal from the Faroe Islands. It includes titles such as No, said the little monster first published in 2004 and Monster at the top published in 2010. To date, six books have been published in various languages and all six are being published in China by Maitian Culture Press in Tianjin.
