A minutes’s silence for the victims in Norway

Iceland observed one minute of silence to remember the victims of the tragedy in Norway last Friday. The commemorative silence took place on Monday 25 July at 10:00 in the morning in support of the people of Norway who observed a minute of silence at the same time.

The Prime Minister of Iceland sent her Norwegian counterpart her condolances on behalf of the Icelandic government and Icelandic people on Friday. The Prime Minister also offered any assistance that Iceland could possibly offer. Flags were raised at half mast at all Icelandic government buildings on Saturday.
