The a cappella quartet OLGA with Association Femmes d‘Europe

H.E Mr. Þórir Ibsen and Mrs. Dominique A. Ibsen, in the name of the EFTA group of Association Femmes d‘Europe, hosted a charity concert on 07.03 at the Residence of the Ambassador of Iceland in Brussels.  Performing at the concert was the a cappella male quartet OLGA with a repertoire of Icelandic, English, German and Russian folk songs.  The quartet consists of four young and dynamic opera students, Bjarni Guðmundsson (tenor), Haraldur Sv. Eyjólfsson (baritone), Pétur Oddberrgur Heimisson (Bass-baritone) and Philip Barkhudarov (bass), all currently studying at the Utrecht Conservatorium.

The concert was attended by 70 guests and was followed by a reception.  All funds raised that evening were dedicated to Association Femmes d‘Europe which work aims at raising funds for those in need, especially for women and children.  The Association favors local initiatives and support small projects with a clearly defined purpose, most of which do not receive any government aid.
