Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir and Sjón at PassaPorta Parcours
The Icelandic authors Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir and Sjón are a part of this year‘s PassaPorta Literary festival. The authors are a part of The PassaPorta Parcours 24.03 at the KBC Grand Place from 15:30.
Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir who is born in Reykjavík has published works both in Iceland and abroad. Her book Rosa Candida (Afleggjarinn) has been translated to critical acclaim in French, English, Dutch, Danish Spanish and German. Her novel L'Embellie (Rigning í nóvember) and her latest novel The Exception - de arte poetica (Undantekningin) has also been translated to French.
Sjón‘s work consists of poetry, novels and works for theater. Sjón has strong ties to the Icelandic music scene and has collaborated extensively with the artist Björk but they ware founding members of the artist collective Smekkleysa. His works have been published in over 16 languages and he was the recipient of the Nordic Council‘s literary prize 2005.
